KidReels is a video player app designed for young children aged 3–5. We built this app with one core principle: your child's privacy is non-negotiable.
This policy explains exactly what data we handle (spoiler: almost none) and how we protect your family.
The following information is stored only on your device using iOS's secure local storage. It never leaves your device and is never transmitted anywhere:
You can delete all of this at any time by deleting the app from your iPhone.
KidReels is specifically designed for children under 13. We fully comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children or adults. The app functions entirely offline with no network requests of any kind during normal use.
As a parent or guardian, you are in complete control of all content in the app. Only videos you personally import are ever accessible to your child.
KidReels does not provide, stream, host, recommend, or moderate any online video content. There is no connection to YouTube, TikTok, or any other video platform.
All videos are either bundled with the app by the developer, or imported manually by a parent or guardian from their own personal storage — such as iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, or the iPhone's local Files app.
When you import a video using the iOS Files picker, the app copies that file into its local Documents folder on your device. KidReels does not have ongoing access to your iCloud account and does not independently read, write, modify, or sync any data to iCloud or any other cloud service.
If we ever update this privacy policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last updated" date at the top. We will never reduce your privacy protections without clear, prominent notice.
